This year's nominations are open for people or businesses that have made an extra effort to improve our environment. To nominate someone go to Nomination Form or fill out a paper version Paper Nomination

2018 County Wide Cleanup Day
September 29, 2018  from 9-2p

New Location - Stay tuned
This event provides an opportunity for residents to dispose of unwanted household items in a safe and sustainable manner. Many household materials can be brought to these events, including: 

Traditional recyclable materials (plastic, glass, aluminum, cardboard, paper, etc.)

-  Scrap metal 

-  Appliances (washers, dryers, air conditioners, refrigerators, etc.) 

-  Household hazardous materials (cleaning supplies, motor oil, pesticides, paint, mercury, etc.) 

-  Tires 

-  Electronic equipment (computers, televisions, toasters, etc.) 

-  Medications (no liquids or inhalers; must be in original container or paper/plastic bag; no glass or metal containers) 

-  Sharps (diabetic needles, etc.) 

The Clean-up Day events are free, but there is a suggested $10 donation per car to help decrease disposal costs and to help maintain these community collections. 

Residents can bring up to four tires for free, but a $5 donation is suggested for each additional tire. Residents can also bring one television, appliance or computer, but a $10 donation is suggested for each additional item.




Summer Farmers Market Saturday  Environmental commission member will be available every third Saturday  of the month Located Downtown parking lot #4 on S. Ann Arbor St., ½ block south of Michigan Ave. 8 am -12 noon May through October
