Global climate change is a grim reality having a dramatic impact on the environments of Michigan communities, the Great Lakes region, and the entire planet. In the Arctic Circle, glaciers are melting at a frightening pace. Georgia, Tennessee and other Southeastern US states are facing record drought. Warmer ocean waters are leading to stronger and more frequent hurricanes for the Caribbean islands and states along the Atlantic coastline. And in Michigan, the Great Lakes are shrinking due to increased evaporation resulting from an inadequate number of below-freezing winter days.

That's the bad news. The good news is:
There's something you can do about it.

Look for more information to appear here soon on some of the specific problems facing Saline and other Michigan communities and learn more about what you can do to help solve the problem.
