With all of the news coverage and heightened sensitivity around global climate change these days, it can be easy to think it's all just hype. But the implications of pollution and global climate change are visible, and clear.

Fish that aren't safe to eat. Record high temperatures, year after year. Horrible air quality in many American cities. The Detroit metro area ranked as the 5th Most Polluted City for air particle pollution in a 2007 survey by the American Lung Association.

Something has to change, and that change has to start with you. And us. And everyone in every small town, suburb and large city across the world.

Our children are counting on it.
